Pros: The hybrid work model does offer some onsite days, which is good for collaboration and connecting with the team in the Austin office. My direct manager is pretty understanding if I need to swap a day.
Cons: The "flexibility" isn't always there. We're expected in the office specific days, and it's tough to get exceptions, even as a Software Engineer. It feels less like true work flexibility and more like a fixed schedule.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the hybrid policy. Real flexibility would empower teams more. Maybe let individual teams decide their best split for roles like Software Engineer instead of a company-wide mandate.
