Pros: Job security is pretty solid for chemical manufacturing positions here. As a Process Engineer, I always felt secure in my role. The company has deep roots, so big layoffs don't seem likely in the Charlotte, NC office.
Cons: Growth opportunities are slow. It's hard to move up the ladder quickly. Innovation isn't a huge focus, which makes some processes feel dated. You'll get job stability but maybe not a ton of excitement for specialty chemicals.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more internal movement and innovation. It would help retain talent in the dyes and specialty chemicals divisions and keep things fresh.
