Pros: I've generally had decent work-life balance as a Software Engineer here. The ability to work remote from San Francisco a few days a week is a huge plus. My team is pretty good about not scheduling late meetings, which helps keep the evenings free.
Cons: There are definitely crunch times, especially before big product launches. It's tough to avoid 50+ hour weeks then. Sometimes the deadlines for our SaaS product can feel a bit aggressive, pushing us to work longer hours.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic deadlines for engineering teams, especially for the core SaaS platform. It'd help a lot with burnout and maintaining consistent work-life balance for Software Engineers.
