Okay stability for some, but agency life is tough
Pros: As an Account Manager, I found the day-to-day pretty steady. The hybrid work model in the Austin, TX office was nice. We had a pretty solid team, and the benefits for a mid-sized agency were decent.
Cons: Job security felt a bit shaky at times, especially when big client accounts left. I saw some good people in public relations roles get let go without much warning. There isn't much transparency about company finances or future plans.
Advice to Management: Be more upfront with employees about client changes and potential impacts. Investing in internal career development for communications professionals would also really help morale and retention.
