Decent Pay, But Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The salary for a Project Consultant here is pretty competitive for Stavanger, Norway. I've seen worse, honestly. Base pay is solid, and they do offer some health insurance coverage for engineering consulting roles.
Cons: Bonus structure isn't very clear; it feels arbitrary sometimes. Other benefits like retirement contributions aren't as robust as I'd expect from a mid-sized consulting firm. There's not much room for negotiation on initial offers.
Advice to Management: Look into making the bonus structure more transparent. Also, boost retirement benefits to attract and retain top talent for our engineering projects.

Decent for steady oil and gas projects
Pros: They generally have a good stream of energy projects, so as a Project Consultant, you usually feel quite secure. The pay is competitive, and you get to work on some interesting assignments with big clients in the marine industry.
Cons: Job security can feel a bit tied to the current market for oil and gas. If project demand slows down, it can get a bit tense for engineering roles. There isn't always a ton of internal development when you're always client-facing.
Advice to Management: Keep an eye on diversifying beyond just the core oil and gas sector. Maybe explore more renewable energy projects to help stabilize future job security for employees.
