Project Coordinator

Leadership here has its moments
Pros: I've had a few really supportive team leads as a Project Coordinator. They usually back you up and encourage the hybrid work model. It's nice to have some autonomy on daily tasks.
Cons: Upper leadership in this mid-sized corporate often lacks consistent vision. Communication can be super vague, especially about long-term goals. Decisions for new tech initiatives often take too long.
Advice to Management: Work on consistent messaging across all levels of leadership. Speed up the decision-making process for the Austin, TX office. Invest more in developing junior managers' strategic skills.

Junior Software Engineer

Career growth is a challenge for tech roles.
Pros: As a Junior Software Engineer, I've had decent exposure to new tech stacks, which is good for learning. There are chances to pick up new technical skills on projects if you seek them out. It's a mid-sized tech company, so you don't get lost.
Cons: The career path isn't very clear, especially for entry-level tech roles in the San Francisco office. Promotions feel slow, and there's not much of a formal mentorship program. Annual reviews don't always translate into real career development opportunities.
Advice to Management: You really need to define clearer career ladders, especially for junior employees. Investing in a proper training budget and mentorship for software engineers would make a huge difference.
