Leadership needs more consistency
Pros: The team I worked with was great, super collaborative and smart. I got to work on some really interesting market intelligence data problems, which was engaging for a Data Analyst. Also, the remote work flexibility is pretty solid.
Cons: Leadership changes direction a lot, which makes long-term projects frustrating. It feels like there isn't a clear vision from the top, especially for data roles. There's also not much clear support for career growth for remote employees here.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent strategy and better communication across the company. Invest more in developing your mid-level managers. Support clear career paths for remote employees, especially within data and analytics teams in this SaaS company.

Okay for initial growth, then it slows down
Pros: It's a solid entry point if you want to get into SaaS analytics, particularly in the mobile intelligence industry. You'll learn a ton about the product and market dynamics quickly. The team in the San Francisco office is generally pretty good, too.
Cons: Career growth here really plateaus. For Product Manager roles, there aren't many clear paths to senior leadership. It feels like a small startup where you hit a ceiling pretty fast, and there's not much internal promotion or new challenges unless you leave and come back.
Advice to Management: Focus on building out more defined career ladders, especially for mid-level Product roles. Invest in training and internal opportunities for people to grow into senior positions rather than always hiring externally. It would really help with retention.

Vision is there, execution and comms can be tough
Pros: I've gotta say, the leadership team really understands the **mobile app intelligence** space. Their vision for where **Sensor Tower** needs to go is clear. As a **Product Manager**, I felt my work contributed to that overall direction.
Cons: However, the execution side often felt a bit messy. Communication about strategy shifts, especially for **remote work** employees, wasn't always great. The **San Francisco office** probably had an easier time getting updates, creating a slight divide.
Advice to Management: Managers need to bridge the gap between executive vision and team execution more effectively. More consistent communication on big strategy changes would help a lot, especially across different locations and for **remote** team members.

Good work, but job security isn't great.
Pros: Working on the core mobile app intelligence platform was genuinely interesting. As a Product Manager, I got to really dig into app store optimization data and learn a lot about the SaaS market. The actual product work keeps you engaged.
Cons: The biggest downside is the job security. There's been a lot of restructuring and layoffs, so you don't feel very stable. It's tough to focus on long-term projects when there's constant uncertainty, especially for remote employees.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's direction and staffing plans. Constant restructuring really hurts morale and makes people wonder about their job security here.

Hybrid Model is Okay, Needs Consistency
Pros: I like that there's a hybrid work option; it's not fully in-office which helps avoid the worst of the San Francisco commute. For Data Analyst roles, you usually get a couple days remote, which is solid for personal errands.
Cons: The main issue for me is the lack of consistency in this hybrid work setup. Some teams in the mobile app intelligence industry seem to have more flexibility than others, making it tough to plan sometimes. You're expected to be onsite a minimum number of days, but it often feels like an unsaid push for more.
Advice to Management: Management should really standardize the hybrid policy across all departments. Clearer guidelines on remote days for all roles, especially for those in the San Francisco office, would help a lot. Don't leave it up to individual managers so much.

Leadership is okay, could be better
Pros: You get to work on some really interesting problems in mobile app intelligence. The product vision is usually pretty solid. For Product Manager roles, the work is genuinely engaging.
Cons: Leadership can feel a bit inconsistent sometimes. It's not always clear why certain decisions are made. Communication from the top isn't always great, especially for those of us working hybrid from the San Francisco office.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with decisions. It would really help to understand the 'why' behind things. Also, focus on improving communication flow across all teams, including those in the San Francisco office and our remote folks.

Okay benefits, but comp could be better
Pros: The health benefits package is actually pretty decent for a mid-size startup. You get good PPO options. They also offer some solid parental leave, which is a plus for many.
Cons: Base salary for a Data Analyst in the San Francisco office felt low, especially compared to bigger tech companies. I wasn't impressed with the stock options either; they felt pretty minimal. Raises were small, almost negligible.
Advice to Management: Seriously review the compensation bands, especially for roles like Data Analyst. You're losing good talent to competitors in the mobile app intelligence space because of it.

Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss
Pros: The data analytics team is solid, and you learn a ton about the app intelligence market. You get to work with some really smart people, especially in product. It's cool being remote from anywhere, which offers great work flexibility.
Cons: Leadership can be a mixed bag; some managers are great, others really struggle with communication and setting clear direction. It feels like they sometimes pivot strategy without clear reasoning for data analysts, which is tough. Growth opportunities aren't always clear for individual contributors.
Advice to Management: Work on consistent communication from senior leadership and provide clearer roadmaps. Support your mid-level managers with better training too. For data analytics roles, clearer goals really help.

Okay Culture, Room for Improvement
Pros: Team members are genuinely smart and helpful, making day-to-day work easier. As a Data Analyst, I liked the challenging problems within mobile app intelligence. There's a solid base of interesting data work.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit fragmented, especially with the hybrid work model. It's tough to build strong connections when some are always remote, others in the San Francisco office. There's often a lack of clear communication from leadership, which impacts overall morale in this tech company.
Advice to Management: Focus on intentional team building for hybrid teams. Improve communication from the top-down, especially about company direction and strategy. It'd help a lot with retention.

Okay Culture, Needs More Support for Growth
Pros: Working as a Data Analyst here, I found the team to be really smart. You get to dig into interesting mobile app analytics data, which is cool for someone in this industry. It's a solid place if you like the fast-paced startup vibe.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit cliquey sometimes, especially if you're not in a core product role. Career growth for individual contributors like me felt stalled. Also, the hybrid work model from the San Francisco office felt pretty disorganized at times.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career ladders for all roles, not just engineering. Work on making the hybrid model more integrated so remote and in-office folks feel equally included. Address the cliquey feel within the San Francisco office culture.
