Pros: The pay and benefits are quite competitive for the maritime industry. Some senior managers really know their stuff, especially with technical vessel management. Our team in the Singapore office is very supportive and collaborative.
Cons: Leadership often feels very detached from our daily bulk carrier challenges. Decisions can be slow, and it's hard to get clear answers or transparency from the top. There's a lack of connection sometimes between management and those of us on the ground.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with the teams handling daily bulk carrier operations. More transparency and a clearer vision would help improve morale and efficiency.

Pros: The team's usually supportive, which helps when things get hectic. You learn a ton about the maritime industry and global shipping logistics, which is great for career development in this field.
Cons: Work flexibility is very limited for office-based roles. As an Operations Coordinator, I couldn't really work remote; it's almost entirely onsite in the Singapore office. There's no real hybrid model, which makes work-life balance tough sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible work arrangements, even a hybrid model, for roles that aren't strictly tied to vessel schedules. It would really help with employee retention and attracting new talent.
