Leadership can be a real challenge sometimes
Pros: I really enjoyed the creative environment of this design brand. My direct store manager was usually supportive, which made daily customer service much smoother. The team members in the Singapore office were also generally great to work with, making the onsite experience better.
Cons: Upper leadership felt pretty disconnected from the retail operations. Communication for new product launches or inventory changes was often last-minute. As a Retail Associate, it was frustrating not having clearer direction or feeling trusted in our roles.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between upper management and front-line retail staff. Clearer, more timely communication about new initiatives would help tremendously. Give direct managers more authority to make decisions and support their teams.

Okay for starting out, but growth is slow
Pros: The team in the local Singapore stores is really friendly. You learn a lot about the design brand's products and customer service quickly. It's a solid first step into fashion retail.
Cons: Career growth is pretty much non-existent for retail roles. There aren't many opportunities to move up unless someone leaves the company. The pay for a Retail Associate is also just okay, nothing special.
Advice to Management: Management should create clearer growth paths for experienced retail staff. Consider more training programs or internal promotion policies to keep good people around.

Fun environment, but fast-paced retail
Pros: I loved the energy of the team as a Retail Associate. Everyone's pretty young and passionate about the brand's aesthetic. There's a real sense of collaboration during new launches and events for this fashion retail company.
Cons: Sometimes the company culture feels a bit like a startup, meaning things change fast. Communication from upper management isn't always clear, especially in the Singapore office. Work-life balance can be tough during peak seasons.
Advice to Management: Try to improve internal communication, especially when new policies or strategies are rolled out. It helps everyone stay on the same page.
