Project Coordinator

Okay Work-Life Balance, Depends on Project Phase
Pros: When there wasn't a major deadline for a new property development, work-life balance was actually pretty decent. I usually stuck to a regular 9-to-6 schedule in the Singapore office, which was great. Team members were generally supportive too.
Cons: The flip side is during crunch times for big projects. As a Project Coordinator, you sometimes put in very long hours, often 10-12 hour days, to meet tight deadlines. This definitely impacted my personal time. It's an onsite role, so there's not much work flexibility when things get intense in the real estate sector.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project timelines to avoid those super intense crunch periods. It would help a lot with employee burnout, especially for those in property development project roles.

Assistant Property Manager

Solid Company, Average Pay for Property Roles
Pros: As an Assistant Property Manager, the base salary is decent for the Singapore market. They do offer a pretty standard medical benefits package too. It's a stable, large corporate company in real estate development.
Cons: Annual bonuses aren't very competitive, especially compared to other firms in the hospitality sector. There's not much room for salary negotiation either. For the workload, I think the compensation could be better.
Advice to Management: Review the annual bonus structure to be more competitive, particularly for mid-level roles in property management. Consider offering better benefits like enhanced dental or wellness programs.

Marketing Executive

Leadership could use a refresh here
Pros: I enjoyed the scale of the projects we handled as a Marketing Executive in the Singapore office. There's good job security given it's a large, family-owned company. You get exposure to the entire property development cycle.
Cons: Leadership can be pretty traditional and slow to adapt. Decisions often get stuck in bureaucracy, which is frustrating. It feels very top-down, and direct managers don't always have much authority.
Advice to Management: Consider empowering middle management more to speed up decision-making. Try to embrace more modern leadership styles and encourage a culture of innovation from all levels. Improve communication on strategic shifts.
