Junior Logistics Coordinator

Decent Starter Role, But Be Ready for Hours
Pros: The team in the Singapore office is pretty solid, and you get to learn a ton about shipping operations. It's an onsite role, which I liked for collaboration. Job security feels good in the maritime industry.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough as a Junior Logistics Coordinator. You often work more than 40-hour weeks, especially when things get busy. It's hard to make plans sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to staff teams better to avoid burnout, especially for entry-level roles. A bit more support during peak shipping operations would help work-life balance a lot.

Job Security Feels Shaky in the Singapore Office
Pros: It's a pretty stable environment day-to-day for an Operations Coordinator. We handle a lot of critical vessel operations, so there's always work to do. The team is generally supportive, which helps when things get stressful.
Cons: Job security isn't great though, especially for mid-level roles. There's been a lot of talk about restructuring in the shipping industry, and it makes you nervous. We don't always hear much from leadership about the company's long-term plans for the Singapore office.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about company direction and future plans for employees in Singapore. Open communication really helps ease worries about job stability during industry changes.
