Gprnt's Pay and Benefits: It's Just Okay
Pros: For a software development startup, the health benefits are pretty solid. They've got a decent 401k match, which helps, especially for Software Engineer roles in the San Francisco office.
Cons: The base salary isn't really competitive for the Bay Area tech industry. Don't expect huge stock options or bonuses here unless you're super senior. It's tough to save up working a hybrid schedule when pay is just average.
Advice to Management: Review salary bands for junior and mid-level Software Engineers to be more competitive with other tech companies in the Bay Area. Focus on better compensation to retain talent.

Leadership is Okay, Room for Improvement
Pros: For software development, the tech leads are pretty hands-on. They really push for technical excellence which is good for individual growth. We got decent project autonomy in the San Francisco office.
Cons: Senior leadership can feel a bit disconnected from daily engineering work. Sometimes decisions come down without much explanation to the team. There isn't always clear communication on strategic shifts for this mid-sized tech company.
Advice to Management: Try to involve engineering managers more in top-level decision-making. Improve transparency on company strategy. Make sure the 'why' behind decisions is communicated clearly to teams, especially for a hybrid model workforce.
