Good Flexibility for Online Education Roles
Pros: I really liked the flexibility being a remote online tutor. I could set my own hours mostly, which was perfect for my schedule. It's a pretty standard setup for the online education industry.
Cons: Sometimes finding enough hours was tough, especially during slower periods. Also, training requirements could feel a bit rigid for a flexible role. Not always consistent work.
Advice to Management: Try to ensure more consistent work availability for remote tutors, especially for those who rely on it for steady income. Streamlining some of the mandatory training might help too.

Leadership is a mixed bag for remote teams
Pros: I liked the WFH flexibility. As a Content Developer, working remote from Austin, TX was a big plus. The colleagues are generally solid, and the work itself for test prep content is often interesting.
Cons: Senior leadership feels pretty disconnected from the day-to-day for online education roles. There's not a lot of transparency. It's tough to see a clear path for career growth here.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with big decisions. Invest in better training for middle management, especially for remote teams. Really listen to what employees on the ground are saying.

Stable place, but career growth is slow
Pros: I've learned a lot about curriculum development and e-learning here, especially as an educational content developer. The work environment in the New York City office is pretty stable, and the benefits are solid. It's a large corporate environment with decent resources.
Cons: Career growth for content roles is really slow; there aren't many opportunities to move up quickly. You can get stuck in the same position for years, which is frustrating if you're ambitious in the test prep industry. There's no clear promotion path for individual contributors.
Advice to Management: Create clearer pathways for career advancement for non-managerial staff, especially in curriculum and content development. Invest more in professional development programs and mentorship.
