Pros: Most weeks are a pretty standard 40 hours as a Manufacturing Engineer in the automotive industry. It's not usually crazy intense, and you can generally leave on time from the Plano office. Weekends are usually yours, which is good.
Cons: Work-life balance can definitely get squeezed during major project deadlines or new model launches. There isn't much work-from-home flexibility here, it's mostly onsite. It feels like a big corporate machine, so changes are slow.
Advice to Management: Leadership should really look into offering more hybrid work options, especially for the corporate staff. The industry is changing, and WFH flexibility is a huge deal for attracting and keeping talent.
