Pros: I really appreciated the flexibility of working remote from Texas. For a big tech company in the cybersecurity industry, the expectations aren't totally insane. Most weeks were manageable, closer to 40 hours.
Cons: There are definitely crunch times, especially around product releases. Sometimes it felt like my team was understaffed, leading to longer days. It's not always consistent, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Focus on better resource planning to avoid crunch periods for engineering teams. Consistent staffing would help with burnout.
