Pros: I liked the initial work flexibility here. For technical roles, some teams were fully remote, which was great. It made it easy to manage my schedule and work from home a few days.
Cons: The recent push for an onsite mandate has been tough, especially for the Seattle office folks. It's hard to get full WFH now, even as a Software Engineer. The hybrid model definitely feels less flexible than it used to.
Advice to Management: Reconsider the strict onsite mandate. Trusting employees with more remote options, especially for experienced technical roles, can boost morale and retention.

Pros: I learned a ton as a junior Software Engineer. There are good opportunities to work on interesting projects, especially in the early stages of your career at a big tech company. The team members are generally helpful and smart.
Cons: Career growth is a struggle for Software Engineer roles past the initial level. It feels like you hit a wall, and there's not a clear path to promotion. There aren't many internal mobility options in the San Francisco office either.
Advice to Management: Managers need to create clearer promotion tracks for experienced individual contributors. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs for career growth.
