Pros: The hybrid work model for technical roles like mine is pretty decent. We usually only need to be in the Austin, TX office three days a week. This work arrangement really helps with personal appointments and managing my day-to-day outside of work. It's nice not to be fully onsite.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't as good for other departments, though. I've heard from folks in customer support that they don't get as much remote option. Also, even for engineers, it can be tough to shift those in-office days last minute if something unexpected comes up. It feels a bit rigid at times.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible work arrangements across all departments, not just engineering. Giving employees more autonomy over their in-office days would also be a huge plus for morale and overall work-life balance.
