Em 2020, realizamos a nossa oferta inicial de ações (IPO) e nos tornamos a única empresa do segmento pet no Brasil com capital aberto, iniciando uma nova fase de crescimento e adquirindo marcas que ampliam o nosso portfólio, como Cansei de Ser Gato, Zee.Dog, Cão Cidadão e Petix. Também somos responsáveis pelo Adote Petz, o maior programa de adoção de cães e gatos do país, e pelo Centro Veterinário Seres, uma rede própria de medicina veterinária que conta com tecnologia e infraestrutura de ponta.

Decent Work-Life, But Expect Crunch Times
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I've had pretty solid 40-hour weeks here at Petz most of the time. The hybrid model in our Austin, TX office is good, giving me decent work-life balance. It's nice to have that flexibility usually.
Cons: But when it's crunch time for our e-commerce platform, forget about 40 hours. You're working longer, especially for major releases. There's not much flexibility then, which kinda stinks.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the quarterly crunch periods for the engineering teams. Better project planning could prevent some of the late nights.

Tough to grow beyond entry-level at Petz
Pros: It's a pretty stable gig if you need an entry-level customer service representative role. The pet supplies industry is generally positive, and most coworkers are cool. Plus, the hybrid work setup in Austin, TX offers good flexibility.
Cons: Honestly, career growth is really limited here. As a customer service representative, I found it super hard to move up. There aren't many clear paths, and it feels like you can get stuck in the same role for a long time.
Advice to Management: They should really focus on creating clearer pathways for career growth for front-line employees. More training and defined steps for promotion would help a lot. It's tough to retain good talent when people feel stuck.

Pros: They do offer some remote work options for office roles, which is decent for the pet care industry. You can swap shifts with co-workers sometimes, which helps if something urgent comes up.
