Pros: You do get to work on new stuff, which is cool for learning different parts of the product lifecycle. The team is supportive and you can definitely gain some technical skills as a Software Engineer. The Austin, TX office has a good vibe too.
Cons: There's not much structure for career growth here, especially for engineering roles. Promotions are rare, and it feels like you hit a ceiling pretty quickly. It's tough to see a clear path forward unless you jump ship.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to create clearer career paths and promotion criteria for the development team. It would help a lot with retention if employees felt they could grow within the company.

Pros: The team here, especially other Frontend Developers, is really solid and supportive. It's a true tech startup vibe, with lots of energy and a pretty good hybrid work schedule for San Francisco, which is nice.
Cons: Upper leadership can be a bit disconnected; they don't always seem to grasp what's happening on the ground for engineering teams. Communication from the top down could really use some work, and decisions often feel like they come out of nowhere.
Advice to Management: Leadership really needs to work on transparency and getting more input from individual contributors. Listen to your Frontend Developers and other engineers more before making big strategic shifts.
