Culture has its moments, pretty standard big tech
Pros: I've met some really smart people here. The teams are generally collaborative, especially within our product development groups. You get decent benefits and the hybrid work model from the Seattle office is nice.
Cons: The overall company culture can feel a bit fragmented. It's a big tech company, so decision-making for Software Engineer roles often takes forever. Recognition for hard work isn't always great, either.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving internal communication and making employees feel more valued. Simplify some of the processes; it feels too corporate sometimes.

Okay Work-Life Balance for Engineering Roles
Pros: Work-life balance here is generally okay, especially with the remote work flexibility. For a Software Engineer, I usually stuck to pretty standard 40-hour weeks. The benefits package is solid for a big tech company.
Cons: There are definitely crunch times, especially around release cycles for new application delivery features. Some teams, particularly those with on-call rotations, have tougher schedules. Project planning can sometimes lead to unexpected late nights.
Advice to Management: Recognize burnout, especially in critical engineering teams. Improve project planning to avoid last-minute crunch periods.

F5 Work-Life is Okay, But Project Dependant
Pros: You can find a good work-life balance here, especially if you're on a stable team. The hybrid model is pretty flexible for most Software Engineer roles, which helps a lot. It's a big tech company, so resources are generally solid.
Cons: Project deadlines in network security can be brutal sometimes. There are definite crunch times where you might work more than 40 hours. This can make work-life balance tough during big releases.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out project timelines more consistently. Better resource planning would really help us Software Engineers avoid unnecessary crunch periods.
