Work-Life Balance is Okay, But Team Dependent
Pros: They offer a pretty solid hybrid work model which is great. You can usually manage your schedule with flexible start and end times. The PTO package is also decent, which helps a lot.
Cons: As a Process Engineer, project deadlines in semiconductor manufacturing often mean really long hours. There's also on-call duty, which can seriously mess with your personal time. It's tough when your team has high production demands.
Advice to Management: Try to balance project loads better across teams. More support during crunch times would help prevent burnout for those of us in direct production roles.

KLA's Hybrid Model is Okay, But Varies
Pros: For a big tech company in the semiconductor industry, the hybrid option is actually pretty good. As a Process Engineer, I got a couple of WFH days, which helped a lot. The Milpitas office is modern, and benefits are solid.
Cons: Work flexibility here really depends on your manager and specific team. Some roles, especially in fab equipment support, are pretty much onsite only. It's tough to get real work-life balance when projects demand constant attention.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility policies across departments. It creates frustration when some teams have more freedom than others for similar job responsibilities. Recognize that not all "onsite" work truly requires being physically in the office.

Work-life balance is okay, depends on team
Pros: Pay and benefits are solid for a big tech company in Silicon Valley. For some teams, you can actually maintain a pretty decent hybrid work schedule. They don't micromanage your time if projects are on track, which is good for work-life balance.
Cons: But work-life balance can be tough for engineering roles, especially near project deadlines in the semiconductor industry. It's common to see long hours, even in the San Jose office. It's hard to really disconnect sometimes because of the constant demands.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work-life expectations across all teams. Help managers set more realistic project timelines so employees, especially in core engineering, don't constantly feel burned out. It would improve retention and morale.
