Solid Pay & Benefits, But Long Hours
Pros: The compensation package is truly competitive, especially the RSUs which can make a huge difference. As a Software Engineer, the stock grants and annual refreshers are really what set the pay apart from other companies, and the employee discounts on Apple products are a nice perk.
Cons: While the total compensation is good, the base salary felt a bit low for the amount of work expected. Bonuses weren't always as clear or consistent as I'd hoped, and the work-life balance for technical roles often suffers because of tight deadlines and high pressure.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing base salaries to be more competitive upfront, rather than relying so heavily on stock to attract and retain talent. More transparency around bonus structures would also be appreciated.

Solid stability for a big tech role
Pros: As a Software Engineer at Apple in Cupertino, CA, job security is generally strong. It's a big tech company with steady revenue, so you don't worry about mass layoffs often. My team felt pretty secure.
Cons: Reorganizations can be tough. Sometimes projects get canceled, and you're left looking for a new team, which feels unsettling. It's not a direct layoff, but it adds stress about your future role.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent during reorgs. It'd really help with employee morale and reduce the uncertainty for those affected.

Job Security is Solid, But Pressure is Real
Pros: Working for Apple, especially as a Software Engineer in the Cupertino office, definitely feels secure. It's a big tech company with strong financials, so I don't constantly worry about layoffs like at some smaller places. You feel pretty safe here.
Cons: That said, you're always under the microscope. If your project gets deprioritized or you don't perform, you might have to look for a new team, which isn't easy. It's not a place to coast, the performance bar is super high.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer paths for internal transfers when projects shift. It would help reduce the internal stress and 'musical chairs' feeling.
