Pay is solid, but benefits could be better
Pros: The base salary for engineering roles like mine was genuinely competitive. I felt compensated fairly for my work in software development. They also offered decent stock options, which is a nice perk for a startup in San Francisco.
Cons: The health insurance plans felt a bit basic compared to other tech companies; don't expect top-tier medical benefits. The 401k match wasn't great, and there weren't many other unique perks. It's tough when you're looking for a truly comprehensive package.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look at improving the health insurance options and 401k match. Making the benefits package more competitive would really help with employee retention in this market.

Leadership needs to step up at inline
Pros: Good team collaboration, especially for remote Software Engineer roles. The initial onboarding for a tech startup was pretty smooth. I enjoyed the chance to work on challenging SaaS product features.
Cons: Leadership can be really inconsistent here. There's not much clear direction from senior managers, which hurts our agile development sprints. Communication from the top down is often a guessing game for us remote folks.
Advice to Management: Managers need to provide clearer roadmaps and more consistent communication. Support your team leads better. Invest in leadership training too, especially for the remote teams.
