Company Reviews

Nava (formerly Kluisz) is building the next generation of cloud infrastructure: simple, secure, and built for the AI era.

We are creating an autonomous, AI-native cloud platform that removes the complexity of running enterprise and AI workloads. From infrastructure to orchestration, every layer is designed for speed, security, and ease of use so you can focus on building, not managing!

Whether you are training large models, running real-time inference, or scaling enterprise applications, Nava gives you the power to do it faster and more securely across on-prem, edge, and hybrid environments.

In a world powered by intelligence, your infrastructure should be intelligent too. That is what we are building at Nava.

Nava's culture is mostly decent
Pros: The mission is genuinely impactful; you feel like you're actually helping people in the public interest tech space. The remote work flexibility is a huge plus, making work-life balance pretty manageable. My teammates were usually smart and dedicated.
Cons: Sometimes the company culture feels a bit disjointed, especially being a fully remote organization. Communication from leadership can be pretty inconsistent. It's tough to get a clear sense of internal growth paths as a Software Engineer, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Please work on making internal communication more consistent and clear. Also, creating clearer career development paths for remote employees would be really beneficial for morale and retention.

Solid Mission, Pay is Just Okay
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the health benefits are actually pretty solid for a government contractor. They have a decent 401k match and unlimited PTO is nice, even if you don't always take it.
Cons: The base salary isn't top-tier, especially compared to big tech companies. It's tough when you're working on complex public sector projects but the compensation doesn't quite reflect that. Remote work pay bands can be a bit strict, too.
Advice to Management: Look at market rates for technical roles, especially for those working remotely. It's important to stay competitive if you want to attract and retain top talent.

Good Mission, But Project Work Means Fluctuating Security
Pros: I really liked the mission here, working on important government tech projects. The people are smart, and there's a good emphasis on learning and modern digital services. Plus, the remote work setup is really flexible, which is a huge plus.
Cons: The biggest downside is job security, especially as a Software Engineer. It's all contract-based, so when a project ends, there's always a scramble for the next one. This makes planning your career a bit tough in this mid-size startup.
Advice to Management: Try to create more stability between digital services contracts. It'd help a lot with retention if people felt more secure about their roles after a project wraps up, especially for core engineering roles.
