Career Growth is Decent, But Requires Push
Pros: As a Restaurant Manager, I've had decent opportunities to learn more about F&B operations. You can grow if you really push for it and show initiative in this hospitality industry.
Cons: Career progression isn't always clear, especially for higher roles. There aren't many leadership positions opening up, so internal movement is tough. This mid-sized group could use more structured development programs.
Advice to Management: Create clearer growth paths for F&B roles. Invest more in leadership development and internal promotion strategies.

Decent Culture, Tough Hours for F&B Pros
Pros: They really try to foster a good company culture, especially within individual restaurant teams. You often feel like you're part of a tight-knit family as a Restaurant Manager here. The team events are pretty fun and help build camaraderie across the whole hospitality group in Singapore.
Cons: Work-life balance can be really tough, especially in peak seasons for F&B roles. It's common to work long, irregular hours, sometimes 50+ hours a week. Sometimes there's a disconnect between upper management's vision and daily operational reality.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to better support work-life balance for your F&B staff. Staffing levels could use a review to ease the burden of long hours on managers and team members.

Decent Job Security for Hospitality Professionals
Pros: The Lo & Behold Group is a pretty established lifestyle group, so there's solid job security. As a Restaurant Manager, I didn't stress about my job disappearing overnight, which is a big plus in Singapore's competitive F&B scene. It's a safe place to work if stability is your main goal.
Cons: While job security is fine, actual career growth and upward movement can be tough. There aren't many clear paths to promotion, especially for long-term onsite roles. It can feel like you're stuck in your position for a while, making it hard to advance.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into creating more structured career progression paths for front-line and senior F&B staff. It would help retain talent if people saw a clear future for themselves within the company.
