Sales Representative

Okay for now, not much room to grow.
Pros: It's a solid, family-owned company in the building materials industry. You get decent exposure to different products and client types. There's a good team vibe in the Long Island, NY office.
Cons: Career growth isn't really a thing here for sales roles. As a Sales Representative, it felt like there wasn't a clear path up. Opportunities for training or new responsibilities were pretty limited.
Advice to Management: Create clearer career paths for employees, especially for Sales Representatives. Invest in more training and development programs to keep people engaged.

Project Engineer

Leadership is okay, but could be better.
Pros: This is an established building products manufacturer. For those in engineering roles, you get to work with really solid masonry and construction materials. Some department heads are genuinely supportive and have your back.
Cons: Upper leadership in the Hauppauge office can feel pretty disconnected from day-to-day operations. Decisions often take ages, which can be tough when you're trying to push projects forward. It feels like there's not much room for new ideas from us lower down.
Advice to Management: Try to listen more to the teams on the ground. Empower managers below you to make quicker decisions. We need to be more agile in the construction materials market.

Manufacturing Associate

Okay place, but leadership needs work
Pros: I liked the steady work, especially for fabricating anchoring systems. The pay was decent for the construction materials industry in Hauppauge, NY, and you always got your 40 hours in. Coworkers were mostly good people, a real team.
Cons: Leadership often felt out of touch with the shop floor. There wasn't much room for upward mobility as a Manufacturing Associate, even if you showed initiative. Communication from the top down was sometimes pretty bad, especially regarding new processes.
Advice to Management: Try to spend more time on the production floor. Listen to the team leads and associates about what's actually happening. Create clearer paths for people in Manufacturing roles to grow their careers here.
