Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Pune office, the hybrid work model is a big plus. It's nice not being onsite every single day. My team generally tries to respect a 40-hour work week, which is good for personal time.
Cons: Some projects in the IT services industry can get pretty demanding, stretching beyond 40 hours. There's pressure to deliver quickly, which sometimes eats into your evenings. Work-life balance here isn't always consistent across all teams.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workload expectations across all projects. This would really help with employee burnout and make the work-life balance more predictable for everyone.

Pros: Some project leads are genuinely supportive and understand the grind of software development projects. You can learn a lot from senior engineers here. The hybrid model is pretty decent for flexibility in the Pune office.
Cons: Leadership can feel distant sometimes, especially at higher levels. There isn't always clear communication on strategic decisions, which impacts individual teams. It feels like middle management sometimes struggles with backing their teams up.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication from top-down, especially about company direction for global IT services. Empower middle management more to support their software development teams effectively.

Pros: As a Software Engineer, I worked remote from Pune most days. That was super helpful for my work-life balance. My team manager was pretty chill about working hours, which made a difference for this IT services role.
Cons: Work flexibility here can be tough if your project requires client-facing onsite presence. You can't really negotiate that. Some of the older, more corporate projects are really rigid.
Advice to Management: Focus on making project managers consistent with hybrid and remote policies. More general guidelines would help everyone. Don't let old school client demands dictate everything.
