Solid Pay, Benefits are Okay at Figma
Pros: As a Software Engineer here, the compensation package is really strong. The base salary and RSUs are competitive for a big tech SaaS company. The health benefits are pretty good for remote employees too.
Cons: Some benefits have been scaled back lately, which is a bummer. The 401k match isn't as generous as I've seen at other places. Transparency around bonus targets could be way better.
Advice to Management: Focus on making the 401k match more competitive. Clearer bonus targets would also help keep top talent motivated.

Dynamic Tech Environment with Smart People and Great Products
Pros: The best part is definitely the people and the challenging work. Everyone's super collaborative, and there's a strong emphasis on learning and growing, which is fantastic for a software engineer. We're building impactful tools for the design community, and seeing our work used by millions is really rewarding. The company culture is vibrant, and the hybrid work model from our San Francisco office offers good flexibility.
Cons: It can be a very fast-paced environment, which means some weeks are definitely busier than others. While there are lots of learning opportunities, the path for internal promotions sometimes feels a bit slower than I'd expect given the high performance bar. There's good job security overall, but navigating career progression needs clearer communication.
Advice to Management: Continue to invest in clearer career progression frameworks and ensure communication about organizational changes is as transparent as possible, especially concerning how they impact individual roles and teams within the product development lifecycle.

Hybrid Model is Okay, Not Super Flexible
Pros: The hybrid model does give you some choice in your week. Being able to work remotely from NYC a couple of days is good for avoiding commutes and deep focus time. For Product Designer roles, this flexibility helps when you need quiet for heads-down work.
Cons: There's still a pretty strong push to be in the main office often, usually three days a week. It feels a bit rigid for a modern SaaS company that builds design software. This fixed schedule can sometimes mess with personal schedules, even with the WFH options.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the mandatory in-office days. Trust your teams more with where they do their best work, especially for creative roles. A truly flexible hybrid model would be appreciated.
