Good place for cybersecurity professionals
Pros: I really appreciate the supportive team environment and the focus on continuous learning in the cybersecurity field. The remote work option provides excellent flexibility for work-life balance. It's a stable company with interesting security challenges.
Cons: Career progression can be slow. While the compensation package is fair, it could be more competitive with leading tech firms, which I hope improves.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining career progression paths and regularly reviewing compensation to stay competitive in the fast-moving tech market. This would greatly help in retaining top talent.

Decent Flexibility for a Growing Cybersecurity Startup
Pros: You get decent remote flexibility, which is great for work-life balance. For software engineer roles, there's not much micromanagement on daily hours. We can often set our own schedule as long as the work gets done and we hit stand-ups. It's good for anyone not wanting a strict 9-5.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines mean late nights, even with the WFH option. There's not much room for true 'flexibility' when a critical patch for a security vulnerability needs to go out. It's a fast-moving startup, so things are sometimes unpredictable.
Advice to Management: Keep promoting flexible work arrangements, especially for remote teams. Try to better manage project scope to prevent constant crunch times.

Hybrid Model is Decent for Security Professionals
Pros: The hybrid work arrangement is pretty solid. As a cybersecurity analyst, I can WFH a couple of days a week, which really helps with personal appointments. It's a nice balance for security engineering tasks.
Cons: Sometimes, the required office days feel a bit rigid. It's not fully remote, so you're still tied to the San Francisco office for three days. There isn't much flexibility if you need to adjust those specific days.
Advice to Management: Give teams more autonomy over their hybrid schedules. A little more understanding for individual needs would go a long way for employee retention in the cybersecurity industry.
