Hybrid is okay, but pretty rigid for fintech
SIX offers a stable environment with decent job security, but the work flexibility is pretty restrictive. As a Software Engineer, I found the one-day-a-week work-from-home policy a bit outdated for the industry. Good if you like structure, tough if you need more autonomy.
As a Software Engineer in the financial services sector, I appreciate having a set hybrid model. You get one day working from home each week, which is a solid perk. The Zurich office location is good for commuting.
Don't expect much beyond that single WFH day. True remote work isn't really an option here. It feels pretty inflexible for a big fintech company, especially compared to others in the tech space. The expectation is 4 days onsite, no exceptions.
Trust employees more with remote options. A fixed hybrid model isn't always the best for employee retention, especially in financial services where talent expects modern work arrangements.
