Pros: Vopak offers a very stable environment in the logistics industry. The company culture in Rotterdam promotes safety and teamwork. Colleagues are supportive, and there's a strong emphasis on learning, especially for an Operations Coordinator. I appreciate the good work-life balance and respectful management.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow, and internal approval processes sometimes take a while. Inter-departmental communication could also improve.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining internal approval workflows to speed up processes and provide clearer paths for career advancement. Also, work on enhancing inter-departmental communication.

Pros: I've found the work-life balance pretty good as a Logistics Coordinator. We mostly stick to 40-hour weeks in the Houston, TX office, which is a big plus for the oil and gas industry. It's not a place where you're expected to work endless nights.
Cons: Sometimes, the demands of terminal operations can make getting time off tricky during peak periods. There's not much work flexibility for onsite staff, which means planning around personal appointments can be a challenge. Weekend on-call rotations are also a thing.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more flexibility in scheduling, especially for urgent personal matters, for those in bulk liquid storage and other operational roles. It would help a lot with employee morale.
