Solid Software Engineering role in AEC
Pros: It's been a really good experience as a Software Engineer here in Pasadena. The teams are collaborative, and I appreciate the focus on our AEC industry users. There's a strong culture of learning and continuous improvement, and the hybrid work flexibility is a huge plus for my schedule. Everyone's pretty supportive, which makes tackling complex software challenges much smoother.
Cons: While there are learning ops, career progression can feel slow sometimes. Also, internal communication could be clearer on project timelines, but it's not a major issue.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining career pathing and improving internal communication regarding project shifts.

Decent Benefits, Pay Could Be More Competitive
Pros: The benefits here are actually pretty good. We get solid health coverage and a decent 401k match, which is a big plus for a mid-sized tech company. As a Technical Support Specialist, it's nice to have that security.
Cons: Pay for roles like mine often lags behind other software companies, especially big tech. Raises aren't huge either, which can be tough. I feel like my compensation package should reflect my contributions to the AEC software industry more.
Advice to Management: Look into making base salaries for technical roles more competitive. It's tough to retain talent when compensation isn't keeping up with the market. Also, make the bonus structure clearer for us on the front lines.

Okay if you're happy staying put
Pros: The compensation for Software Engineer roles is decent. You get solid benefits. Work-life balance is actually pretty good, especially in the Pasadena office. It's a stable company in AEC software.
Cons: Career growth here feels slow. There aren't many clear paths to advance, especially for individual contributors. You can feel stuck if you're looking for new challenges or higher titles in construction tech. Promotions are rare.
Advice to Management: Create clearer progression paths for engineers. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs to help people grow.
