Culture could use some serious work
Pros: The remote work flexibility is a big plus; working from Austin, Texas, I've got a decent work-life balance most weeks. My direct team as a Software Engineer is super supportive, which helps a lot.
Cons: The overall company culture feels pretty corporate and siloed, especially for a big tech firm. It's hard to feel connected to the bigger mission, and leadership's vision often feels unclear. Integration of acquired companies also seems to cause a lot of internal friction, impacting morale.
Advice to Management: Focus on better communication across departments and with acquired teams. Clear up the overall vision for the company and invest more in fostering a unified culture. We need to feel like one team, not a bunch of separate groups.

Decent Company, Slow Career Growth Here
Pros: WFH is solid; I've been remote from Texas for a few years, which is great. Pay is okay for Customer Success Manager roles in the SaaS industry. The company is pretty stable, feels secure.
Cons: Career growth is tough, honestly; there's not much of a clear path up. For a Customer Success Manager, skill development in advanced GRC software isn't really pushed. It feels like you're stuck in your current role after a while.
Advice to Management: Management should really map out clearer career paths for employees. Invest in more training too, especially for new GRC solutions. People want to grow, and it's not happening enough.

Decent balance, but expect crunch times.
Pros: Working as a Software Engineer, the flexibility with remote work is a major plus. Most weeks, I can hit my 40-hour target easily. It's a pretty relaxed environment without micromanagement.
Cons: Deadlines for new features on the governance software can get really tight sometimes. This leads to longer hours, especially for those of us remote from California. It's tough to fully disconnect during those crunch periods.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage the release timelines to reduce the constant crunch for engineering teams. Also, consider time zone differences for remote staff more when scheduling late meetings.
