Pay's Okay, Benefits Could Be Stronger
Pros: As a Customer Support Specialist, the base salary was pretty competitive for a remote role in the crypto exchange space. It felt like they understood market rates for similar positions.
Cons: However, the actual benefits package wasn't as robust as expected. Health insurance premiums took a chunk out of my paycheck, and there weren't many unique perks compared to other tech companies or big tech firms.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the overall benefits package, especially health coverage options. More perks would help attract and retain talent in this competitive crypto space.

Kraken's Pay and Perks Are Solid, Not Stellar
Pros: I've worked as a Software Engineer at Kraken for a couple of years now. The health benefits are actually quite good, definitely competitive for a remote big tech company. They also offer decent crypto education and some internal perks for digital asset trading.
Cons: Base pay for technical roles, especially mid-level engineers, feels just okay compared to other major crypto exchange players. It's not bad, but it's not a huge standout either, even considering the WFH flexibility. Stock options are fine but don't feel like a game-changer.
Advice to Management: Really look at increasing base salaries for key technical roles to stay competitive. It would help attract and retain top talent in the web3 space, especially when offering remote work.

Solid place, but crypto market volatility hits
Pros: I loved the focus on innovation in the **blockchain development** space. The remote work setup is great, allowing me to work **remote from Austin, TX**. You get to work with some really smart people and the compensation for a **senior software engineer** is competitive.
Cons: The biggest downside is definitely **job security** in this **fintech** industry. There's always a worry about market downturns causing layoffs, which we've seen happen. It makes long-term planning tough.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more proactively about market conditions and how they might impact staffing. More transparency would really help ease concerns about job security among employees.
