Egnyte's been pretty stable for tech roles
Pros: I felt pretty secure in my Software Engineer role here. The company's growth in the SaaS industry seems consistent. There wasn't much layoff talk during my time, which is good.
Cons: Management can seem a bit opaque sometimes about business decisions. It makes you wonder about future changes. Career advancement isn't always clear-cut, which ties into feeling totally secure.
Advice to Management: Improve communication about long-term strategy and career paths. Transparency helps folks feel more secure.

Decent Benefits, Pay Could Be Better
Pros: The health insurance plans are actually quite good, and there's a decent 401k match, which helps a lot. It's nice to have solid coverage as a perk of working at a SaaS company.
Cons: The base salary for Software Engineer positions isn't really competitive for the Bay Area market. Annual raises are pretty minimal, so it's tough to keep up with inflation in the Mountain View office.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation bands for technical roles, especially for those in high cost-of-living areas like Mountain View. Better salary adjustments would improve retention for Software Engineers.

Decent Benefits, Pay Could Be Better
Pros: The health insurance package for remote employees is pretty solid. We get a good amount of PTO too, which helps with work-life balance as a Software Engineer.
Cons: My base salary isn't very competitive with bigger tech firms in the cloud content platform space. Don't expect huge bonuses or automatic yearly raises here.
Advice to Management: Rethink the compensation strategy to attract and retain top Software Engineer talent. Being truly competitive in the cloud software industry requires more than just decent benefits.
