Pros: The mission itself is really cool, working with geospatial data is fascinating. I learned a lot from my direct team. Plus, the hybrid work model from our San Francisco, CA office was pretty solid.
Cons: Upper management can be really disconnected. It's tough to get clear direction, especially for Data Analyst roles. Decisions sometimes feel rushed, then they change fast. It created a lot of uncertainty.
Advice to Management: Focus on better communication and consistency. Give teams more autonomy and trust. Help managers support their direct reports better, especially when it comes to project clarity.
