Okay Pay, Solid Benefits Package
Pros: The health insurance is pretty good, and the 401k match for a big corporate company like Chicago Pneumatic is solid. As a Sales Engineer, the commission structure can be decent if you consistently hit your targets.
Cons: Base salary feels a bit low for the industrial equipment industry, especially in the Rock Hill, SC area. Annual raises are usually pretty small, so don't expect big jumps in your take-home pay year-over-year.
Advice to Management: Review the salary bands for entry and mid-level roles, especially in Sales. Making base pay more competitive would help retain talent in the industrial equipment sector.

Limited Flexibility for Onsite Manufacturing Roles
Pros: You can sometimes adjust your start and end times by an hour or so, which is handy for appointments. As a manufacturing engineer in the Rock Hill office, that's decent for an onsite role, especially in the heavy machinery industry.
Cons: True remote work or hybrid options aren't really a thing here. It's a pretty strict 8-to-5, so don't expect much work-from-home even for office-based tasks. It's hard to balance personal stuff when you're always tied to the manufacturing floor.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible hours or a compressed work week where possible for engineering and office roles. Even small changes would improve employee morale and work-life balance in this corporate environment.

Pay is solid, but benefits are just okay.
Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer, I've found the base salary at this corporate manufacturing company pretty competitive for the industrial tools sector. They do pay decent.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, especially health insurance deductibles. It's tough to get significant raises even with good performance. Bonuses aren't really a thing.
Advice to Management: Look into upgrading the health and retirement benefits. A more transparent and frequent raise structure would also really help with employee retention and morale.
