Leadership has its moments, good product though
Pros: The product is genuinely fantastic and it's easy to get behind a *nutritional products* brand you believe in. My immediate team was solid, really passionate about our work, which made being a *Marketing Coordinator* enjoyable. It's a pretty forward-thinking *DTC brand* overall.
Cons: Communication from senior leadership can be a bit all over the place. Decisions sometimes feel rushed, and it's not always clear why changes happen, especially for *remote employees* like me, working *from London*. It feels like there's a disconnect between the top and the day-to-day for some *marketing roles*.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer, more consistent communication across the board, especially for *hybrid and remote teams*. Make sure all levels feel heard and understand the 'why' behind major decisions.

Growth is great, but job security can be tricky
Pros: Huel has a strong brand in the nutritional supplements space, which makes the company feel pretty stable from a market perspective. For marketing roles, the company provides a lot of autonomy, and the remote setup is a huge plus for work-life balance. It's exciting to work for an e-commerce business that's clearly growing.
Cons: The biggest con here for me was job security. As a fast-paced growth company, things can change quickly, leading to restructures or shifting priorities. I saw several projects get cut, which sometimes made me wonder about long-term stability in the marketing department. It wasn't always clear how secure specific roles were during these transitions.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate more clearly during periods of change or restructuring. Employees, especially in departments like marketing, need to feel secure and understand the long-term vision when new strategies are implemented.

Leadership is okay, but room for improvement.
Pros: It's a really exciting DTC brand, and leadership definitely has a clear vision for the future of the product. The senior team is super passionate about healthy eating. Working from the Tring office meant I had good colleagues.
Cons: As a Marketing Specialist, I often felt micromanaged by some mid-level leadership. Decision-making can be slow for a fast-paced e-commerce company, which was frustrating. Plus, junior staff opinions don't always feel valued.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering team leads and giving them more autonomy. Encourage feedback from all levels, especially in a fast-moving e-commerce setting. Trust your teams to get the job done without constant oversight.
