Solid WFH for IT Consulting Roles
Pros: The biggest pro here is the work flexibility. As a Cloud Consultant, I've been able to work fully remote from Denver, CO, which is a huge perk for my work-life balance. They're pretty good about letting you set your own schedule as long as the work gets done, especially for cloud services projects.
Cons: Sometimes, client demands or urgent government contracting projects can limit that flexibility quite a bit, making it tough to truly disconnect. It's not always consistent across all teams or specific IT consulting engagements. I've heard some project leads aren't as understanding as others.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility policies across all projects and teams, not just for certain IT consulting roles. Consistent support from project leads would make a big difference for remote employees.
