Pros: The remote work flexibility is a big plus. As a software engineer, I can manage my own schedule for the most part, which is huge for my work-life balance. They don't micromanage your WFH hours too much, which is appreciated. This mid-sized tech company does a good job with remote setups.
Cons: Sometimes the core hours can be a bit rigid, making it tough to totally adjust my day. If you're a junior software engineer, getting direct mentorship while fully remote can be a challenge. There's also not much option for a true hybrid model; it's mostly full remote for many.
Advice to Management: Focus on better structured mentorship for remote junior software engineers. Also, consider offering a true hybrid option for those of us who might want occasional office time. It would help with collaboration too.

Pros: You get solid experience working on various agile projects for different clients. It's a decent place to pick up new tech skills, especially in software development. The remote work setup is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: Real career advancement for engineering roles is tough. Promotions are rare, and there isn't a clear path. Raises aren't always tied to performance either, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion criteria for engineering staff. Invest more in structured mentorship and leadership development, especially for senior Software Engineers. Give us a real path forward.

Pros: I liked the chance to work on diverse client projects, which is great for building your tech skills in software development. The remote work setup from Dallas, TX was really convenient. Pay was also pretty decent for a mid-level Software Engineer.
Cons: Job security feels a bit shaky sometimes. When a client project wraps up, you're not always sure where you'll land next. There's not a lot of transparency about future roles for IT consultants, which can be stressful.
Advice to Management: Improve communication around upcoming projects and potential roles for employees, especially for those remote from different locations. It would help ease job security concerns for your software development teams.
