Solid Stability in Government Contracting
Pros: Job security here is pretty good for an IT Consultant. As a mid-sized government contractor, they usually have a steady pipeline of federal projects. Once you're on a project, you're pretty set for a while, which is a big plus for stability.
Cons: The challenge is if a federal project ends, you might have some time on the bench between gigs. It's not a huge issue but finding new tech solutions work can sometimes take a bit. Growth opportunities can also feel limited sometimes.
Advice to Management: Focus on proactively finding new federal projects and keep bench time low. Also, offer more clear paths for career growth, especially for long-term employees.

Okay Pay, But Benefits Need a Boost
Pros: The base salary for Software Developer roles is pretty competitive, especially for the Washington D.C. Metro Area. You get decent pay, which is a big plus here. They match a good chunk of your 401k too.
Cons: Health insurance costs a lot, it really eats into your take-home pay. I also think the PTO isn't as generous as other IT companies. It's not bad, but it's not great either.
Advice to Management: Look into better health insurance plans for employees. Also, consider increasing PTO for long-term staff. It would make a big difference.
