Pros: As an IT Consultant, I've really appreciated the remote options available for many client projects. It's a huge benefit in the tech industry, helping with work-life balance. Getting a good WFH assignment remote from St. Louis makes a big difference.
Cons: Work flexibility heavily depends on the client's demands, and those can change fast. Sometimes you're suddenly expected onsite, even if your role was initially remote. Not all staffing firm roles offer consistent WFH freedom.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility across more client projects. Help consultants advocate for consistent remote or hybrid setups with clients. Clearer communication on potential onsite shifts would also help.

Pros: I've found the remote work-life balance here to be pretty solid. As an IT consultant, I can usually stick to a 40-hour work week, which is great. Being remote from Dallas, TX means no commute, freeing up a lot of personal time. The company is usually understanding if you need some flexibility.
Cons: Sometimes project demands in IT consulting can make days longer than expected, especially nearing deadlines. It's not always easy to completely disconnect, and some client expectations can creep into evenings. This can make the 'off-hours' feel a bit less clear for IT consultant roles.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries with clients regarding after-hours expectations for IT consultant roles. It would help improve the work-life balance even more.

Pros: I've had some pretty good luck with remote work options as an IT Recruiter in the IT staffing industry. KellyMitchell often makes WFH options happen when possible. It's nice not being tied to an office daily, especially during peak hiring times.
Cons: Sometimes client projects demand you be fully onsite, which wasn't always clear upfront. If your client doesn't support a hybrid model, you're stuck, and changing projects can be tough. There's not much flexibility once you're on a specific client engagement.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer expectations upfront about client project flexibility. Maybe offer more internal remote opportunities for corporate staff instead of always client-facing roles.
