Pros: I've worked at Mercell for a bit, and I do like the team in the Oslo office. The sales training for new SDRs is pretty solid, you learn a lot about B2B SaaS sales processes. It's a decent place to get your foot in the door if you're fresh out of school.
Cons: Career growth here is tough for Sales Development Representative roles. There aren't many clear paths to move up to an Account Executive or even team lead. Promotions feel really slow, and internal opportunities are rare. You're pretty much stuck unless you leave.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career development plans, especially for the sales organization. Show SDRs how they can actually move into Account Executive roles within the company, not just external hires. Invest in internal promotions.
