Pros: As a Logistics Assistant, I had some okay flexibility for doctor's appointments. For corporate office roles in Singapore, there's often a hybrid work option. They're understanding if you need to WFH occasionally, especially for non-operational tasks.
Cons: But for anyone in ground handling or on-site operational roles, flexibility is really tough. You're pretty much tied to your shift schedule. It's not easy to swap shifts, and remote work isn't an option for frontline aviation services.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer more flexible schedules for your frontline staff. Even small changes would make a big difference for ground handling teams.

Pros: The starting pay for a Ground Operations Agent here at Changi Airport isn't bad, especially if you're fresh out of school. You also get a pretty solid basic medical plan, which is good. Shift allowances definitely help bump up the monthly take-home pay in the aviation industry.
Cons: Raises are super small, barely keeping up with inflation year to year. It's tough to see real career progression with the pay here. The annual bonus isn't great, and it's not always clear how they calculate it. Benefits outside of medical aren't that competitive.
Advice to Management: Review the annual increment structure and make bonus criteria more transparent and rewarding. It's tough to retain talent when pay doesn't keep up, especially in a corporate setting like this.

Pros: For a corporate company in the aviation services industry like SATS Ltd. in Singapore, you do get pretty stable, regular hours. It's good for planning your life around fixed shifts, especially if you're a Logistics Coordinator, so you always know what to expect.
Cons: However, don't expect much work flexibility. There's almost no remote work option for us in ground handling operations. If you need to swap shifts or adjust your schedule, it's a real challenge and often not possible.
Advice to Management: Consider how you can offer even a little more flexibility, perhaps with slightly more adaptable shift swaps or occasional remote options for roles that could support it.
