Okay pay, but benefits could be better
Pros: The salary for an Account Coordinator starting out here is pretty solid for the PR agency world in New York City. They usually offer decent annual raises too, which is a plus. It's not top-tier but it's competitive enough to get by.
Cons: The health benefits package isn't great, and the 401k match is pretty low. There aren't many extra perks or bonuses either. It feels like they could do more to really take care of their employees.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the health insurance options and increasing the 401k match. Better benefits would really help retain talent, especially for junior roles in public relations.

Hybrid model is okay, but not truly flexible
Pros: The hybrid model is nice on paper. You do get some WFH days, which helps with the New York commute. It's solid for most entry-level PR roles.
Cons: Flexibility is pretty limited in practice, though. Client demands often mean you're onsite, even on WFH days. It's tough to plan when things change often at this big agency.
Advice to Management: Management should really stick to the hybrid policy they advertise. Don't promise WFH days if you're going to pull people in for every little thing, especially for junior PR roles.

Decent for learning, but culture is mixed.
Pros: Some teams have awesome camaraderie. You'll get tons of hands-on experience as a junior PR professional. The hybrid work model offers some good flexibility, which helps.
Cons: The overall company culture can feel a bit cliquey sometimes. Especially in the New York office, it's not always inclusive. Expect long hours; it's a communications agency, so 50+ hour weeks happen often.
Advice to Management: Try to make the company culture more consistent and welcoming for everyone. Focus on clear career paths for Associate and Senior Associate roles. Address the long work hours for all client-facing employees.
