Solid place for cloud software career growth
Pros: I've learned a ton about enterprise cloud software and HCM systems. There are clear paths for an Implementation Consultant if you network and stay on top of internal postings. The remote work flexibility is also a huge plus, makes life easier.
Cons: Career growth isn't automatic; you often feel like you're stuck on projects unless you actively seek new opportunities. Sometimes it feels like there aren't enough senior-level consulting roles opening up. Promotions can be slow to come.
Advice to Management: Create more transparent and proactive career development programs for consulting roles. Make sure managers are actively supporting team members' growth, not just project delivery.

Decent WLB for a Big Tech Company
Pros: Remote work flexibility is awesome; it really helps manage personal time. For software development roles, you can usually keep your hours reasonable, around 40 a week. It's a solid perk of working in big tech.
Cons: Project deadlines can get intense, especially when releasing new features for Workday Financials. On-call rotations for cloud computing issues definitely mess up your evenings and weekends sometimes. It's hard to avoid extra hours then.
Advice to Management: Try to even out project loads better to avoid those intense crunch periods. Support teams need more resources for on-call duties, it really impacts personal time.

Solid WFH, but hours can be tough
Pros: I love the remote work setup. Being able to WFH from Dallas, TX is a huge plus for my family life. The team's pretty collaborative, which helps when you hit tough spots on a deployment. It's a big tech company with good benefits.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle, especially during peak project phases for Implementation Consultant roles. You often find yourself working late into the evening. The demand to meet client deadlines means long hours are common in the cloud software industry.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations and resource allocation for consultants. Burnout is a real concern when project loads are consistently heavy.
