Leadership is okay, but needs more transparency
Pros: Some unit managers are super supportive, which really helps with tough patient care situations. As a Registered Nurse, you learn a ton from experienced staff in these New York City facilities. They do offer solid training for healthcare professionals.
Cons: Upper management's decisions sometimes feel totally disconnected from the daily grind for us nurses. There's often not enough clear communication on big policy changes affecting onsite shifts. It feels like they could really listen more to feedback from the nursing staff.
Advice to Management: Engage with the frontline nursing staff more before making sweeping decisions. Boost communication from corporate down to the unit level.
