Culture's okay, but it's a big corporate machine.
Pros: You get solid health benefits, which is a huge plus. The office in Jersey City, NJ is nice and the hybrid work setup is good. It feels stable for a big tech company, especially for data analytics roles.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit rigid and bureaucratic. Innovation in the data science departments can move slowly due to lots of red tape. There isn't always much personal connection among teams.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more and cut down on bureaucracy to foster innovation, especially within the data analytics groups.

Remote Life as a Verisk Data Analyst
Pros: I really appreciate the remote work flexibility Verisk offers. It's a huge plus for personal life management. For Data Analyst roles, you can often WFH which is solid.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines in insurance data can get crazy. It's tough to maintain a consistent 40-hour week. You might feel pressure to log on after hours.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes for data analytics teams. Help managers protect their teams' off-hours more effectively.

Solid for Learning, But Growth Is Up To You
Pros: I learned a lot about insurance data as a Data Analyst. The hybrid work model is pretty flexible, which is nice. Good benefits package too, solid health insurance.
Cons: Career growth is definitely slow. There aren't many clear promotion paths for data roles. You have to actively search for new projects to show initiative, it's not handed to you. It feels like a corporate environment where internal mobility is tough.
Advice to Management: Create clearer career development plans for individual contributors. Make internal transfers and promotions more transparent. Encourage managers to mentor for upward mobility.
