Pros: The base salary for Process Engineer roles is pretty solid. I felt fairly compensated for my day-to-day work in the energy sector. They also had a decent 401k match, which is good for long-term planning.
Cons: Healthcare benefits felt a bit stingy compared to other large corporate companies in Houston, TX. Deductibles were high, and the coverage wasn't amazing. The bonus structure also wasn't very transparent for engineers, which was frustrating.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the healthcare benefits package to be more competitive with other major players in the oil and gas industry. Also, make the bonus structure more clear and transparent for technical roles like engineering.

Cons: Work flexibility is really low for Field Engineer roles. You're mostly onsite or traveling, especially for natural gas exploration projects. It's tough to have a good work-life balance when you're working long shifts and always away from home.
Advice to Management: Recognize the extreme demands on Field Engineers. Look into innovative scheduling or support systems to help improve our work-life balance. Better communication about project durations would also help a lot.
