Work-life balance is decent, but it varies.
Pros: The remote work option, especially from Denver, CO, is a huge plus. As a consultant, I've found that work flexibility is pretty solid when projects aren't in crunch mode. They really trust you to manage your own time.
Cons: However, client-facing roles can get really demanding. You'll definitely put in more than 40 hours during big consulting projects. The work-life balance for this mid-sized firm fluctuates a lot based on who your client is.
Advice to Management: Try to manage client expectations better from the start to prevent consultant burnout during tough project phases.

Solid culture for a mid-sized consulting firm
Pros: The team members are super collaborative, which really helps with project-based work. I found the remote setup pretty decent, even working remote from Denver. There's a strong emphasis on peer support, which makes for a good company culture.
Cons: Sometimes the WFH experience can feel a bit isolating, especially without regular in-person events. For a mid-sized firm, communication from top leadership can feel a bit slow. It's not always clear what's happening at the company level.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing for more team-building activities, even for remote employees. Improve the frequency and clarity of company-wide updates from leadership; transparency goes a long way.

Pay is okay, benefits are pretty standard
Pros: The health benefits kick in fast, which is nice. As a Junior Consultant in the Chicago office, the base salary is decent for an entry-level role in management consulting. The 401k match is pretty solid after a year or so.
Cons: Is the pay great? Not really. Raises aren't super frequent, and they're usually pretty small here. Don't expect massive bonuses like you'd see at bigger management consulting firms, especially for project delivery roles.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation packages, especially for early career consultants. More competitive salaries and clearer bonus structures would really help with retention.
